Initial Consultation, Fees and Collaborative Representation
If you are contemplating divorce, modification of custody, child support or alimony; are facing job loss or wrongful discrimination in the workplace; or are seeking to resolve a business or real estate dispute, and want to better understand your legal rights, I invite you to request a preliminary, free telephone consultation to determine how I may help. If you are interested in consulting me further to plan your strategy, we can schedule an appointment to meet and review your documents and discuss your situation in greater depth to properly assess your objectives and legal strategies.
To minimize overhead expenses and deliver excellent service more cost-effectively, I have adopted a “virtual office” business model: after the initial client meeting I collaborate with clients primarily through email and phone. I have access to offices in Bethesda, Rockville and Washington DC whenever face-to-face meetings are helpful. Online credit and debit card payment options are available for clients’ convenience. These efficiencies allow me to deliver services at very competitive rates, and to employ a sliding fee scale to enable me to serve clients of limited means.
I understand that litigation can strain middle-class budgets and strive to deliver value for your hard-earned money. For capable clients on a limited budget I will proactively enlist your paralegal efforts to save legal fees by downloading your own payroll and bank statements, developing chronologies, family budgets, and drafting discovery responses for me to edit. In appropriate cases you can also retain me on a ‘limited scope basis’ to draft your Complaint, draft and respond to discovery responses on your behalf, and only appear at a Court hearing when you decide that you need my lawyerly expertise to brief and argue motions or conduct trials in Court.
Kindly provide me with basic information so we can schedule a free and confidential telephone intake interview.
